The “Travel” Stocks Continue to Rally
Strategic vs. Tactical Investing
There are two general methods of investing. You can use the “strategic” approach by buying a group of stocks and buying and holding them. I kiddingly call it the “buy and hope” method. Or you can invest tactically. And tactically means choosing individual sectors that are moving and then to weed-out the sectors that are not moving and that’s called tactical money management.
Travel Industry
So, I’m focusing right now, in this video on the travel industry. Now if you take a look at the airlines, you can buy stocks individually or you can buy them in a group. Now, we chose to use a group for the airline industry, and we chose to use individual stocks for the cruise ship industry. If you take a look at this chart behind me, this is a chart of an ETF, exchange traded fund, that owns airline stocks inside of it. You can see it’s over 7% which is amazing in one day. And so, the ETF owns stocks like Delta Airlines, United Airlines, and Southwest Airlines. But because we’re focusing on this individual sector, you can see that this brings significant dividends to our clients and our investment portfolios. So, I’m focusing right now, in this video on the travel industry. Anyway, I just wanted to talk about it. The travel theme continues to bring good growth in your investment portfolio.
